A total of 83 candidates turned up for the overseas recruitment drive of nurses held in the city on Sunday under the watch of the Vigilance Department. The recruitment for Saudi Arabia’s Al Mana General Hospital was organised by NoRKA Roots, one of the three agencies authorised by the Union government to conduct nursing recruitments for foreign companies.
The Vigilance Department and the Special Branch of the police were present at the venue in the wake of reports regarding fake recruiters by private agencies that charge Rs.3 lakh to Rs.5 lakh for emigration. NoRKA Roots general manager Najeeb H. said 80 per cent of the candidates are likely to be selected.
