No Vigilance probe against Anoop: Chennithala

May 23, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:56 am IST - Kochi:

Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala has denied that the Vigilance has launched an investigation against Food and Civil Supplies Minister Anoop Jacob in connection with the allegations raised in this regard by Kerala Congress (B) chairman R. Balakrishna Pillai.

“Media reports suggesting such an inquiry must have been based on false information. There’s no quick verification being carried out against the Minister. I spoke to the Vigilance Director as soon as the news came to my notice. The inquiry is only limited to appointments in the consumer redressal forum,” the Home Minister told mediapersons in Kochi on Friday.
