NCP to stay with LDF

March 20, 2014 02:00 am | Updated May 19, 2016 09:55 am IST - Kottayam:

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) State vice-president and Uzhavoor Vijayan has made a stout defence for the continuation of the party in the LDF fold. Refuting media reports in this regard, Mr. Vijayan said all efforts by the UDF to lure NCP MLAs would be in vain.

“We have been part of the LDF in the State ever since the inception of the coalition. Today, we do not have any specific reason to quit the coalition,” he said pointing that denying a Parliament seat to the party could not be cited as an excuse since they had no parliament seat during the 2009 elections too.
