The police on Tuesday informed the Kerala High Court that investigations had revealed that the woman, Jizil Mathew, 23, who went missing from the Cochin Special Economic Zone (CSEZ), had not been abducted by any one. Nor she faced any threat to her life.

The police said in the statement that her father informed the police that his daughter had contacted him over the phone and told him that she was safe and there was no need to enquire about her whereabouts.

The phone number was traced and found that she made the call from Raja Annamalaipuram, Chennai. The woman went missing on February 8 after her husband dropped her at the gate of CSEZ at Kakkanad.
