Flight operator to add thrice-a-week services in summer schedule

Air India Express, India’s first budget international flight operator, will add thrice-a-week services between Kochi and Kuwait/ Dammam as well as between Kochi and Singapore via Madurai. Chief executive officer K. Shyam Sundar told a press conference here on Tuesday that these services would be on with the introduction of the AI Express Summer Schedule from March 25.

Flights between Kochi and Singapore via Madurai will be operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays with departure from Kochi at 11.10 a.m.; arrival and departure from Madurai at 11.55 a.m. and 1.10 p.m., respectively; arrival in Singapore will be at 8.10 p.m.

The introduction of the new services will see the Air India Express Madurai-Singapore services being upgraded to daily services.

Three round robin trips a week will also connect Kochi to Kuwait and Dammam on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays when Flight IX-495 will leave Kochi at 8.15 a.m. and land in Kuwait at 10.55 a.m.

At the same time, the airline will continue to offer the connectivity between Kuwait and Kochi via Kozhikode on Tuesdays and Thursdays, said a handout distributed at the press conference.
