The Sree Narayana Guru Samadhi Day was observed with piety and prayer with SNDP unions across the city conducting a host of programmes to mark the occasion on Tuesday.
The SNDP Kanayannur union observed the Samadhi Day at the Sree Narayana Guru Temple at Chottanikkara. The temple committee chairman M.A. Kamalakshan Vaidyar hoisted the flag marking the occasion. The SNDP union, Thevara, in association with Sree Narayana Seva Sabha, and the woman's wing and Kudumba unit under the union observed the day with Gurupuja.
