Intermittent rains have created a conducive environment for vectors to trasmit diseases. The Health authorities are taking precautions and preventive action to lessen the chances of avoidable diseases.

As a precautionary measure, Cleanliness Day will be observed in the district on Sunday. Health workers, ASHA workers, Anganwadi and Kudumbashree workers, residents’ associations and non-governmental organisations have begun efforts to spread awareness about the cleanliness programme.
