The first phase of the International Container Transshipment Terminal (ICTT) is scheduled to be operational soon, according to official sources here.
The quay-side cranes are expected to be delivered by May 22.
The connectivity to the ICTT got a shot in the arm with the successful trial run of a locomotive on the rail route connecting Vallarpadam to Edapally.
