Collectors’ meet today

: The State government has convened a meeting of District Collectors of seven districts to resolve the issues relating to the proposed laying of gas pipelines from the Petronet LNG terminal at Puthuvype in Kochi. The meeting will be held in Thiruvananthapuram on April 20, according to Chief Secretary Jiji Thomson. It will be attended by Collectors of seven districts through which the pipelines are proposed to be laid, he said here on Saturday.

He also added that the government would appoint nodal officers for these districts to coordinate various works. The government would also take all steps to fully utilise the capacity of the LNG terminal.
