The model set by the Community Health Centre at Pandappilly, Muvattupuzha, which has been granted accreditation by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH), should be replicated across the State, said Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Saturday.

Speaking at a function organised to handover the accreditation certificate to the institution, the CM also announced a financial assistance of Rs.10 lakh to the CHC. He expressed the State government’s willingness to extend such assistances to other primary health centres or community health centres winning similar accolades.

James Mani, head of the CHC, received the accreditation certificate from the Chief Minister. Civil Supplies minister Anoop Jacob inaugurated the public function while Idukky MP Joice George opened the renewed laboratory at the CHC.

Pandappilly CHC is the first community health centre in the State and second in the country to be given the recognition.
