A three-day meeting between officers of the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Police Service, and the Indian Forest Service with the armed forces concluded here on Wednesday.
The interaction, organised by the Southern Naval Command, was inaugurated by Rear Admiral R.J. Nadkarni, VSM, Chief of Staff, Southern Naval Command (SNC), on Monday.
‘Growing Maritime Challenges in the 21st Century’ was the central theme of the meet. District Collector K. Mohammad Y. Safirulla and P. Vijayan, IG, Ernakulam Range, interacted with the participants who had come from various parts of the country.
The participants visited the naval ship, INS Sharda, and various operational and training establishments, besides holding discussions with naval officers. The interactive sessions were co-ordinated by the Maritime Warfare Centre, Kochi, headed by Commodore N Anil Jose Joseph, VSM.
