Two city students set an example in honesty when they handed over a purse they found on the road to the city police.

The police eventually found the owner of the purse and handed it over.

Ziras, 16, a Class X student of Nava Nirman Public School, Vazhakkala, and Bilan, 17, an Eloor resident studying in Gandhian Angel School, Manjummel, were walking along Elamakkara junction when they found the purse lying on the road. It contained some gold jewellery and over Rs.1,000 in cash. The children handed over the purse to the police.

Police found that it belonged to Makkaraparambu native Linda. She had accidentally dropped the purse on the road when she was travelling on a motorcycle with her husband.
