The Cochin Chamber of Commerce and Industry has welcomed the announcement by the Union government granting Rs.1,000 crore to the State on the occasion of the second anniversary of the NDA government.

“We understand that the package includes proposals to set up three major projects – Central Institute of Plastic Engineering and Technology (CIPET), a Plastic Park, and a Pharma Park in the State. It is highly encouraging to note that the proposed engineering Institute will be on a par with IITs and is expected to offer 100 per cent placements to its students,” said a chamber statement.
