Bus operators go on flash strike

January 07, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 08:09 am IST - Kochi:

A section of bus employees on the Vyttila-Vyttila route went on a flash strike on Tuesday following an argument with the police over the parking of vehicles at Vyttila junction. Employees of five buses that were parked on the service road towards Thammanam at Vyttila around 10 a.m. got into an argument with the police. The argument escalated after the bus crew said that they had no option but to stop there.

The police said that they had asked for the buses to be moved as they were creating a traffic block.
