The Palarivattom police have arrested a 26-year-old Thrissur native on charge of uploading the Malayalm movie “Ozhivudivasathe Kali” in an open website.
The arrested person, identified as Vineesh Velayudhan, a native of Chavakkadu, allegedly downloaded the movie from a protected site Reelmonk.com, a Kochi-based online film distribution platform, using a screen recorder in his computer and later uploaded the same to a torrent website.
Based on a complaint, a police team arrested Vineesh from Thrissur and he was booked under the IT Act and the Copyright Act.
