Air India flight suffers tyre burst while landing in Kochi

An Air India flight from Delhi (AI 467) suffered a tyre burst while landing at the Cochin International Airport at Nedumbassery around 9.15 am on Thursday.

Airport sources said that all the 161 passengers are safe. The flight was scheduled to continue its onward journey to Sharjah when the incident occurred.

The flight was shifted to the parking bay for replacement of its rear inner tyre.

Sources said that efforts were on to take the nearly 142 passengers for Sharjah in another flight, if the tyre replacement work gets delayed.
