Relief was the common expression written on the faces of students who returned home after attending The Hindu Education Plus International Education Fair held at Taj Residency here on Thursday. The seminars held at the fair helped students understand the steps to be taken to achieve their dream of studying abroad.

Consultancies representing countries such as the U.S., Australia, U.K., Germany, Latvia, Canada, Holland, Ukraine, and Malayasia held seminars from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Students were asked to list out the universities they wished to apply to. Then the consultants helped them shortlist the preferred colleges.

Courses on offer at a university were looked up on its official website. Apart from the best universities to pursue a course, students were briefed about important factors that would make their education and life abroad a lot easier.

Higher education options were discussed taking into consideration vital aspects like the climate best suited for a student. Students were also instructed whether they had to learn the official language of a country where they wished to study in.

Admissions to various universities require students to clear tests such as IELTS and TOEFL.
