The Central Board of Excise and Customs is establishing Seva Kendras across the country to facilitate migration of assessees to the new tax regime. The Kochi centre will be open from 9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. on all working days. It is connected to both the GSTN and the Central Board of Excise and Customs portals.
According to officials, the assessees can either fix an appointment or walk in to clear their doubts related to the new tax regime. It is a programme to reach out to tax payers and simplify the process of tax remittance. The services are being offered free of cost to tax payers, they said.
