The Kochi unit of Hindustan Organic Chemicals Limited (HOCL) restarted production this week after a gap of more than six months.
Sources said production had been made possible with the HOCL unit receiving raw materials on credit basis. Employees under the aegis of Save HOCL Action Committee had been on a relay protest for 170 days, demanding revival of the unit.
