Bangalore-based self drive car rental service company ‘Zoomcar’ has announced launch of its operations in Hyderabad on Tuesday. To begin with, Zoomcar is offering close to 30 cars of different makes from six different locations, mostly in and around Hitech city and Gachibowli area.
In due course the company officials, during the launch, said that the fleet of cars and number of locations in Hyderabad will be increased. “In another six months, we are looking to add 100 more locations and 1,000 plus cars in Hyderabad. We have made the whole process of booking a car easy without much of a paper work through our mobile and desktop applications,” said co-founder, Zoomcar, Greg Moran.
The self drive service cars can be hired on the basis of hour, day, week and month. The booking of cars is done online and once it’s done, users can pick the car from a nearest location. “To make things easy for users, the tariff will include fuel, insurance and other taxes. In case of long drives, users can fuel up the vehicle on their own and later our company will refund the amount. Basically, self driven rental cars are convenient, give independence, mobility and privacy,” the co-founder said.
Zoomcar officials said that present day wage escalation of car drivers has suggested a decline of the chauffer-dominated model over the next few years. At present, the company is providing Figo, Amaze, Ecosport, Scorpio and XUV for rent starting from Rs. 80 per hour to Rs. 140 depending on the size of the car. The company’s mobile app is available in iOS and Android platforms. For details: www.zoomcar.com/hyderabad
