Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday stated that an urban development authority would be formed for development of Yadagirigutta in Nalgonda district. The government would allocate Rs.100 crore in the coming budget for the development of temple town.
At a review meeting held here, the Chief Minister said Yadagirigutta Urban Development Authority would be formed with temple Special Officer G. Kishan Rao as its chief. Both the hill and land development administration would form part of the authority.
As part of the development of Yadagirigutta temple, the Chief Minister was shown designs prepared by architects Raj Expedith, Anand Sai and Jagan, temple architect Sthapathi, Mr. Kishan Rao, Principal Secretary S. Narsinga Rao, Special Secretary in CMO Bhupal Reddy and others participated in the meeting.
The architects explained to the Chief Minister that the temple design would give it a look as if it was is century-old temple and like a monument. The design would include lot of sculpture work and the way leading to the sanctum sanctorum in the temple would have a feeling of passing through a cave.
After going through the designs, the Chief Minister suggested that the entire construction should be in tune with ‘Agama Shastra’ and asked them to study temples such as Amritsar and Aksharadam. There should be provision for centralised parking, shopping complex as at Tirumala and two-way road connectivity to go up the hill and come down, he told the architects.
Further, he asked the architects to provide adequate space for the stay facilities of pilgrims including overnight stay, sufficient space for performing traditional ‘vrathams’ on mass scale, ‘yagasala, kalyana mandapam’ and a hall for discourses. The temple complex should be in about 5 acres and the remaining land out of over 10 acres land on the hill should be utilised for other facilities, he suggested.
Meanwhile, Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao would visit Yadagirigutta temple on Wednesday for holding further discussions on the designs.
He will present ‘pattu vastrams’ to Lord Narsimha Swamy as part of Brahmotsavams on February 27.
