At a time when most people find it difficult to squat for few minutes, here is a woman who successfully performed “Jala Mathsya Asana’ for 100 minutes on Monday. The task was even more challenging as she had to perform the Asana in water and recite ‘Patanjali yoga sutras’ simultaneously.

A difficult task indeed but for Aruna Devi who has been practising yoga for the last 25 years, it was a dream come true. The representatives of Telugu Book of Records and Wonder Book of Records handed over the certificate to her on successfully performing the feat.

“I was preparing to make this record since last couple of years. It required a lot of practice and concentration,” said the 42-year-old woman. She is not content with this performance and says that she would take up much more challenging task in future.

The venue was packed with visitors of different age groups and they cheered the moment the yoga practitioner completed the task with claps and whistles.
