A 22-year-old woman died reportedly due to medical negligence at the Government Modern Maternity Hospital, Petlaburj.

Police said Manjula, hailing from Mahboobnagar, was admitted to the hospital on Friday, and that she had delivered a baby boy through Caesarean section on Saturday.

However, on Sunday she developed complications and died on Monday afternoon at the hospital. Manjula’s family members claimed that doctors had not attended to her properly, which resulted in her death. The Charminar police have registered a case and are investigating.
