To solve grievances of property tax payers for 2014-15, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) will hold Property Tax Parishkaram (PTP) programme every Sunday from December 7 to March 22, 2015.
GHMC Commissioner and Special Officer Somesh Kumar on Friday said similar programmes conducted in different circles during February and March solved several grievances of the property tax payers and in clearing pending cases.
He appealed to the property tax payers to visit their respective circles with grievances pertaining to pending mutations, legal cases, revision petitions, new assessment of properties and other tax-related matters and assured that complaints would be solved either on the spot or would be followed up at the earliest.
Lake developmentAs a part of development of two graveyards and revival and development of a lake in each circle, Mr. Somesh Kumar inspected several areas of east and north zone and directed the Zonal Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners to take up works and complete them within the stipulated time on priority basis.
Deceased persons kin get Rs. 2 lakhThe GHMC Commissioner also handed over Rs.2 lakh cheque to family members of Hemanth Kumar Sahay, who died after falling into a manhole at Himayathnagar in October and to the family members of Prudvi Sena Reddy who died when an iron welcome arch fell on him at Rayadurgam, according to a press release.
