VIPs want to be the first to see Balakrishna’s 100 {+t} {+h} film

April 23, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:43 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Practically every VVIP on stage at this function made the request to the makers – that they should be the first audience of the film when it would be ready to be screened, and this drew such a roar of happiness from fans and other guests alike that almost brought the roof down.

It was none other than Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao who voiced out his request that those on the dais should be the first to view the film and said, “I will come with my family and so will Mr. Chiranjeevi.”

Just to name a few, the VVIPs included actors Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, directors Singeetham Srinivasa Rao, Dasari Narayana Rao and K. Raghavendra Rao, Ministers Talasani Srinivas Yadav, T. Harish Rao and G. Jagdheesh Reddy. They were all on the dais for the launch of actor and MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna’s 100{+t}{+h}film, ‘Gautamiputra Satakarni’.

It is directed by Radhakrishna Jagarlamudi, popular as ‘Krish’, for whom this is the 7{+t}{+h}film as director and is riding on the critical acclaim and national award that his last film ‘Kanche’ got. Being produced by Y. Rajeev Reddy and Jagarlamudi Sai Baba, on the First Frame Entertainments banner, it is presented by ‘Bibo’ Srinivasa Rao.

For most of the audience in general and the die-hard fans in particular, it was a festival they will never forget. Several lines from the speakers made the fans scream in appreciation. Consider this. While the Chief Minister said Mr. Balakrishna’s 100{+t}{+h}film would surely run for 200 days, Mr. Chiranjeevi said essaying the role of Satakarni would be a cakewalk for the actor and that the title of the film, apart from having Krish as the director itself meant that it was a success.

Coming to the brass-tacks, the routine at any film’s opening - it was the Chief Minister himself who gave the ‘clap’ for the first shot that was directed by Mr. Dasari Narayana Rao, while Mr. Venkatesh operated the camera. Minutes before, Mr. Raghavendra Rao and Mr. Singeetham Srinivasa Rao handed over the script to Mr. Krish. Now, they were getting ready to go to Morocco for the first schedule of shooting where they would shoot a war scene.
