Traffic flow on Gudihatnoor-Utnoor Road was blocked by protesters near Indervelli mandal headquarters on Tuesday.
The protesters belonging to Ginnera Bhikku tanda village in the same mandal and some others are squatting on the road with the body of Chauhan Jitender, a 22-year youth. He was electrocuted on Monday while he was proceeding to his field.
A live electric cable fell on him as the wooden pole supporting it broke. The protesters are demanding Rs.5 lakh ex gratia and five acres of land to the family of the deceased.
