U.S. Consulate hosts reception

‘Opportunity to showcase Indo-U.S. cooperation’

The U.S. Consulate General hosted a reception to celebrate the 241st anniversary of the independence of the United States of America here on Friday. Governor of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh E.S.L. Narasimhan was the chief guest at the event, in which around 500 guests from various walks of life attended, a release from the the Consulate General said. Consul General Katherine Hadda said the celebration was an opportunity to showcase the cooperation between U.S. and India. The two countries share common values of freedom and democracy.

“The social and economic ties between our countries provide mutual benefit and growth. Many important connections happen right here at the local level. It is these personal and local ties which propel the flourishing US-India bilateral relationship,” she said.
