UoH allows protests at designated places on campus

The University of Hyderabad administration said that it has assigned specific places for protest by the students on the campus as per the UGC guidelines and they cannot protest at buildings disturbing the academic atmosphere.

In a statement here, the University administration said that discussions were held with 20-odd students protesting at the administration building where they were explained the position on admissions to courses including Indian Diaspora and Human Rights.

In the statement, the university admitted that it has incorporated submission of an affidavit as part of the admission process but there is no effort to muzzle freedom of expression and curbing protests on the campus.
