Two killed in accident on ORR

Two persons died and three others sustained injuries when a four-wheeler (used for transporting goods) rammed a moving lorry from behind on the Outer Ring Road at Kothwalguda in Shamshabad in the early hours of Saturday.

Death was instant for Narayana, 55, and Venkat Rao, 35. Vehicle driver Sanjeeva and his family members Shobha and Kumar suffered injuries. Sanjeeva and his family started from Prakasam district on Friday.

They were coming to Kandi in Sanga Reddy of Medak when the accident occurred around 2.30 a.m.

“Looks like the driver dozed off and crashed into the lorry,” Shamshabad airport police station Sub-Inspector Hariprasad Reddy said.
