The Meerpet police took two persons into custody for allegedly stalking and threatening women.

The accused have been identified as Sandeep Reddy (28), a resident of Vikarabad district, and Mallesh (30), who hails from Vanaparthy.

According to the police, Reddy worked in a company owned by his uncle and was stalking a married woman. Despite her marital status, he continued to harass her on social media platforms for over a year.

Meanwhile, Mallesh, who is married, was allegedly stalking an unmarried woman. Police said that he made threatening calls to her parents. Though they changed their numbers, the stalking did not stop.

The victims met Rachakonda Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat during a ‘praja darbar’ and informed him of the stalking. A case under Section 345 (D) has been registered against the accused.
