: Two people who allegedly killed one Abdul Razak (24) last week at Golconda were arrested by the police on Tuesday. The accused were identified as Md Riyaz, (20) a cab driver and his friend Md Omer (18) a welder, both residents of the Golconda area.

According to the police, Riyaz’s elder brother Md Shahabaz worked at Muneeb Enterprise. The victim, Razak also worked at the same shop. However, the shop owner, Shakeer Ahmed, removed him from the job citing poor performance.

On coming to know about it, Riyaz went to the shop and picked up an argument with Ahmed and Razak asking the reason for removing Shahabaz from the job. During the argument, Razak warned Riyaz not to come to the shop and create a nuisance, the police said. Having felt humiliated Riyaz left the place.

“On Thursday, Riyaz along with his friend Omer stood waited near a mosque and once Razak came out after offering prayers they stabbed him on the back resulting in serious injuries,” Inspector Golconda, Md Munawar said. Razak died at a hospital while undergoing treatment. The police who registered a case gathered some clues and picked up Riyaz and Omer who admitted to the killing.
