Two farmers killed by lightning

Two farmers were killed in separate incidents of lightning strikes in Mulakalapalli mandal on Wednesday evening. Mutyalu, 40, a farmer of Kampagudem, was killed on the spot after being struck by lightning at his agriculture field in the evening.

He is survived by his wife and three children.

In another incident, a tribal farmer of Vodduramavaram from the district met a tragic end on his way home from his agriculture field when lighting struck killing him instantaneously, sources said.

The deceased was identified as Badavath Sethu, 30.

Several areas in Kothagudem division witnessed unseasonal showers that were accompanied by strong gales late on Wednesday evening.
