TSTDC announces Krishna Pushkaram packages

The Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation has announced seven daily tour packages from different parts of the State to Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda and Krishna districts, for the Krishna Pushkarams from August 12 to 23, with tariff that covers only transportation.

Accordingly, a package to help ferry pilgrims from here to Beechpalli and Alampur will leave at 6.45 a.m. from Paryatak Bhavan, Begumpet and return at 9.30 p.m. the same day after touching the Krishna Ghat at Beechpalli and a Pushkar bath before a darshan at the Sri Anjaneya Swamy Temple. It will also halt at the Haritha Hotel in Alampur after which they can pray at the Sri Jogulamba Devi Temple (a Shakthi Peetham) before coming back to the State capital.

Another bus will leave with passengers at 6.30 a.m. to Somasila near Kollapur in Mahabubnagar district for a ‘Pushkar Bath’ and a jolly boating ride (if time permits). It will reach Hyderabad at 9 p.m. The third tour schedule is to Nagarjunasagar in Nalgonda district at 7 a.m. from Paryatak Bhavan to the bathing ghat at Vijay Vihar Complex. After a bath in the River Krishna and boat ride from the Telangana side, the bus will return after a brief halt at the Sri Sai Baba Temple at Chinthapalli.

For those living in other parts of Telangana, there are packages that leave Adilabad for Beechpalli at 6 a.m. and return at 4 a.m. the next day, from Nizamabad, Warangal and Karimnagar to Beechpalli first and onwards to Alampur for a darshan at the Sri Jogulamba Devi Temple and return at 4 a.m. the next morning. Another package will take pilgrims from Adilabad to Beechpalli and back at 4 a.m. the next morning. Tariff for these has been fixed at Rs. 1,500 and Rs. 1,200 for an adult and child, respectively, by non-AC Hi-Tech coach.

There is one package that will take pilgrims to Krishna district. It leaves at 6.30 a.m. and after a ‘Pushkar Bath’ and a darshan at the Sri Kanaka Durga Temple it will bring back the passengers here at 4 a.m. the next morning. Tariff for this has been fixed at Rs. 1,500 and Rs. 1,200 by Volvo coach for an adult and child, respectively.
