The Transmission Corporation of Telangana Limited (TS-Transco) has been adjudged “best transmission utility” for the year 2017 by the Independent Power Producers Association of India (IPPAI).
According to officials, Director (Projects & Grid Operation) of TS-Transco G. Narsing Rao would receive the award on behalf of the organisation at the “Regulators and Policy Makers Retreat” being organised by IPPAI at Belgundi village of Belagavi district in Karnataka on October 28.
With consistent efforts, the transmission company had been ensuring round-the-clock reliable, adequate and quality power supply to all categories of consumers in the State. With adoption of the state-of-the-art technologies, a peak demand of 9,500 MW was met on September 13 and the highest daily energy demand of 197 MU was also met on the same day.
The officials stated that the power utility was geared to meet the forthcoming 'yasangi' season agriculture demand along with 24x7 power supply to all categories of consumers.
