Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao announced a grant of Rs.10 crore to the Indian Institute of Public Health. He was laying the foundation for the second campus of the institute at Rajendranagar here on Tuesday.

Mr. Rao promised them of convening a meeting of Institute representatives and health officials to extend all possible administrative and financial help.

The institute requested the Government to bear 50 per cent of the Rs.60 crore cost of the building construction. Chief Minister regretted that in spite of the Government spending a huge Rs.5,000 crore on the health sector, the state of public health remained unsatisfactory.
