July 12, 2012 10:04 am | Updated 10:04 am IST - HYDERABAD:

For leasing out spaces in its different commercial complexes in the city, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has launched an IT-enabled system.

Till now, the allotment of shops and office blocks in the commercial complexes of Swarna Jayanthi, Maitrivanam and Maitrivihar was done on first-come-first served basis.

System revamped

A press release issued by HMDA here on Wednesday, said that to ensure more transparency in the allotment on lease basis, the system has been revamped. Accordingly, the details of all the shops, office block in each of these commercial complexes would be displayed in the website ‘www.hmda.gov.in’ with complete details about lease holders and period of lease.

Each Saturday or on last working day of the week, all vacant shops/office blocks available for lease would be notified giving ten days time for filing applications. At the end of the period, the space would be allotted at prescribed rental and in case of there being more than one application, e-bidding would be conducted.
