Town planning wing bifurcated

GHMC's Town Planning wing has been bifurcated into Development Planning (DP) and Regulatory Planning (RP) headed by two different Additional Commissioners to ensure either sections get equal importance by Commissioner Sameer Sharma. Incumbent Additional Commissioner (RP) Rajendra Prasad will continue to look after subjects of granting building permissions, layouts, prevention of unauthorised structures and layouts, enforcement of building bylaws, removal of encroachments, change of land use, issue of no objection certificates, etc. Additional Commissioner (DP) K. Dhananjaya Reddy has been put in charge of implementing the master plan, road development, side walks, traffic & transportation with regard to MMTS, Metro Rail; Charminar pedestrianisation project, Musi river revitalisation, protection of lakes, advertisements etc.
