A 15-month-old boy playing in front of his house with another child succumbed to injuries after a speeding car hit him at Risala Bazaar of Alwal on Saturday morning.

Satwik was playing with another boy in the neighbourhood when a Tata Indigo hit him.

Fatal wounds

He was rushed to the nearby Oxygen Hospital with bleeding wounds on the head and ears. The toddler succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment, the Alwal Sub-Inspector A. Ramulu said.

The accident happened on the internal road of Sree Sai Nagar Colony. The car driver Babloo alias Nagaraj turned to the extreme left apparently to avoid a speed-breaker near the boy’s house and failed to notice him playing there, Mr. Ramulu said.
