As many as 50 startups will pitch their case for growth fund before venture capitalists and private equity firms at the TiE-ISB Connect event in Hyderabad next week.Investor Connect, on March 26, the inaugural day of the three-day annual event, will have sessions structured for such companies to discuss their growth plans with investors for raising Rs.10 crore to Rs.50 crore equity funding.
TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) Hyderabad president Safir Adeni said the companies operate in diverse sectors, from infrastructure, cleantech to healthcare, and their annual revenues are in the Rs.10 crore – Rs.50 crore band. Mr.Adeni, who was briefing presspersons on Thursday about the forthcoming event, said the 50 growth stage startups are predominantly from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and would be mentored by TiE Hyderabad.
The event, ninth in the series, to be hosted by the Indian School of Business (ISB) will on the first day also feature ‘Mentorshop’, a conclave primarily for early stage startups.
The organisers expect 700 people to participate in the event, which on the remaining two days, will have sessions on various topics of economy, including ‘Opportunities in IoT and security’, ‘Make in India – opportunities and challenges,’ and those on e-commerce; and media and entertainment.
