The city continued to receive monsoon showers on Monday, with 5.9 mm of rain recorded till late evening.

Many areas across the city witnessed sudden downpour, which began in the evening, accompanied by deafening sounds of lighting. The India Meteorological Department officials have predicted heavy rains for Telangana region in the next couple of days.

The city is also likely to receive rains or thundershowers for the next five days.

The maximum temperature recorded was 32.5 degree Celsius, whereas the minimum temperature was 22.8 degrees. Due to rains, some of the low lying residential areas and roads were waterlogged. The traffic congestion in the evening peak hours increased due to the slow movement of vehicles as a result of the rains.
