April 11, 2014 09:55 pm | Updated May 21, 2016 10:35 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Leaders of BJP and TDP on Friday called for better coordination between the two parties for ensuring the victory of their candidates.

At a meeting of the BJP and TDP Assembly candidates falling under Secunderabad Lok Sabha constituency from where former Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya is contesting, TDP leader Talasani Srinivas Yadav, suggested having a coordinator for each segment as the candidates were running short of time. Mr. Srinivas is in the fray from Sanathnagar Assembly constituency.

TDP leader and former minister Vijayarama Rao agreed that increased coordination was needed so that the candidates of the two parties could win all the Assembly seats and Secunderabad Lok Sabha.

Mr. Dattatreya said he expected good support from TDP leaders and activists and expressed confidence that BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would return to power at the Centre.
