October 12, 2010 01:21 pm | Updated 01:21 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

A surrendered naxalite, Neelam Mallesh, 34, who allegedly threatened to kill a businessman if the latter did not agree for a ‘settlement' in a land dispute as per his terms, was arrested by the Commissioner's Task Force (West) team on Monday.

Mallesh had joined the gang of Patolla Goverdhan Reddy of the self-styled Revolutionary Patriotic Tigers, who was accused of involvement in several murders including that of TDP leader Paritala Ravi.

At Reddy's instance, he called up a businessman, Salla Chandra Reddy, and threatened to come to an agreement with Reddy's relatives with regard to a land of 24 acres at Uppal.
