The premises of TKR Educational Institutions displayed a festive spirit on Wednesday, with students from 22 colleges participating in various cultural activities.

Students started flocking to the campus from the morning. Registration counters had a busy time seeing them in and assigning them to various programmes being organised as part of The Hindu Education Plus Club Challenge 2013.

As the day progressed, the heat of the event caught up, and everyone busied themselves in being part of the fervour. Those who participated in elocution and presentation of papers enjoyed their moments of glory as they tried their best to have a spell on the audience and judges.

“My self confidence has gone up after participating in the event. It was a great experience,” said Asra Farooq, a B.Pharmacy student of Sultan Ul Uloom College of Pharmacy. She participated in paper presentations and explained how cricket as a sport was killing other games.

A team from CMR Technical Campus stressed the need for increased blood donations through a well-researched argument.

“This has been an amazing opportunity for students from so many colleges to gather at one place and participate in meaningful events,” said V. Divya, a faculty member of Malla Reddy group of institutions.

Braving the harsh sun, students gathered around the podium for cultural performances, which stole the show.

“I loved the cultural events and thoroughly enjoyed all performances. I wish The Hindu would come back to our college more often,” T. Stanley Anuja, a B.Tech student from TKR College of Engineering gushed forth.

The event also proved to be a learning experience for many student-volunteers from the institution.

“As part of the Campus to Corporate Club, we have organised many such events in our college.

“But this is one of the best we have participated in,” asserted Sai Someshwari, a B.Tech. student.
