November 29, 2013 11:13 pm | Updated November 16, 2021 07:42 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

Cyberabad police have nabbed a woman for allegedly attacking a software professional with a knife at the latter’s house in Bachupally. The woman was apparently miffed at being spurned in favour of another woman, whom the techie had married last year.

A resident of Amallapuram, the woman was a classmate of K. Pratap during their polytechnic course. She had also earlier complained to Chandanagar police, accusing Pratap of marrying another woman after being in love with her, police said.

The woman called up Pratap two days ago on the pretext of discussing the issue with him. Soon after entering his house, she attacked him with a knife, inflicting injuries to his private parts, police said. Based on Pratap’s complaint, Dundigal police booked a case against the woman under IPC Section 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means) and arrested her.

Pratap was later treated at a private hospital and discharged.
