Sivakoteswara stars for Guntur

Sivakoteswara Rao's 58 for Guntur was the highlight of the drawn encounter against West Godavari in the ACA Central Zone u-19 inter-district cricket tournament at Mangalagiri on Thursday.

Guntur will meet Krishna in a three-day match from Friday.

The scores: W. Godavari 226 drew with Guntur 156 in 63.5 overs (Sivakoteswara Rao 58, Chandrasekhar Naidu three for 27, Rakesh three for 49).

KDCA probables

The Krishna DCA has picked 21 players to select the district under-22 team to participate in the inter-district tournament from August 10 at Ongole and Mangalagiri.

Selection trials

The AP Civil Services Association will conduct trials to select the APCS team for the ‘A' league tournament to be organised by HCA for the year 2011-2012. Interested State Government employees can attend the trials on July 31 at 7.30 a.m. at L.B. Stadium, Hyderabad. For details call 98495-89522.
