Samsung launches two new 4G phones A5 and A7

Samsung claiming to be having 62 per cent of market share in the 4G-enabled phones hopes to garner more with its range of 18 devices.

Selfie junkies could not have asked for more. You can click using your palm, get a wide angle and even ‘beautify’ the photo. Plus, the latest 4G mobile from Samsung is comfortable to hold, provides 25 per cent more battery, fast charging and looks stylish with a combination of glass metal design.

It comes at a price, but obviously. Samsung’s this year launch are the dual sim Galaxy A7 and Galaxy A5 targetted at the young customers and those on the go. These phones were showcased here on Monday by the firm’s Director, Mobile Business Manu Sharma in the company of film star Shriya Saran.

Samsung claiming to be having 62 per cent of market share in the 4G-enabled phones hopes to garner more with its range of 18 devices. “The country is poised to become second largest smartphone market in the world and we have 45 per cent share in this area in the last two decades of presence. With more telecom firms rolling out the 4G network we are hoping to enlarge our space,” he said.

The company will be focussing on lots of innovations in the coming year and expects to sail along with the projected 18 per cent growth of the mobile smartphone market in India. The newly launched devices priced at Rs.33,400 for A7 and Rs.29,400 for A5, are available in gold, black and white colours.

Armed with rear and front-end cameras with optical image stabilisation to ensure blur-free photos, the devices are equipped with faster downlink (upto 300 Mbps) and uplink (upto 50 Mbps) speeds with fingerprint sensor technology for secure access. “I really love them, they are really cool,” said Ms. Saran as photographers clicked. Within two days, A7 and A5, will be available on Snapdeal and offline stores too.
