Sainik welfare boards for AP, TS districts

Sainik Sankshema Sabha will be organised in all districts in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, announced Ex-servicemen Welfare Board officials here on Sunday. The announcement was made at a rally and a grievance redressal programme organised in the city. Headquarters Telangana & Andhra Sub Area under the aegis of HQ Dakshin Bharat Area has conducted Ex-Servicemen rallies in Vizianagaram, Mahaboobnagar, Anantapur and Nalgonda districts earlier. On Sunday many former armed forces personnel from Ranga Reddy, Medchal, Malkajgiri, Vikarabad and Hyderabad districts including those who had served in World War-II attended.

Lieutenant General R.K. Anand who is the General Officer Commanding Dakshin Bharat Area inaugurated the rally. Lt. Gen. Anand said all measures were being taken by the Indian Army to reach ex-servicemen and widows of those who had served in the forces. In the meeting many stalls were put up to facilitate and resolve grievances related to pension, re-employment and rehabilitation. Military Hospital, Secunderabad conducted free medical and health camps for women with health issues.

Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) Polyclinic, Secunderabad put up a stall to create awareness about latest benefits and policies. Postal Department, Army Postal Node (APN) and SBI put up stalls to help veterans avail services.
