Robber gang attacks passengers on train

A gang of robbers attacked two passengers on board the Pune Express while it was at Vikarabad. Moulana (55) and Kareem Shaik were travelling in S3 bogie of Pune Express on Thursday when the two armed robbers entered their compartment between Shankerpally and Nagulpally railway stations. “The robbers tried to take away their belongings. But the passengers foiled their attempt and tried to catch them. In their bid to escape, the duo attacked the passengers and escaped,” Vikarabad Railway police said.

Meanwhile, two motorcycle-borne miscreants snatched a gold chain weighing three tolas from a housewife at Asifnagar on Thursday morning. The woman, Lavanya, was walking on the road at Gudimalkpur when the two miscreants struck.
