Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu advised his party’s Telangana leaders to ensure effective coordination among themselves in highlighting the problems of people and exposing the failures of the TRS government.

Mr. Naidu asked the leaders to prepare a list of probables for the party’s State and district-level committees as they were crucial in renewing the party from the grassroots level by bringing the cadre together. The TDP president, who was here on Monday on a brief visit, convened a meeting of senior leaders at his newly constructed residence.

He wanted the party’s Telangana leadership to submit the final choice of candidates within a week so that a decision was taken on the issue. The TDP-TS leaders, including president L. Ramana, apprised Mr. Naidu of the struggles launched by the party on key issues, including the recently exposed irregularities in land transactions in different parts of the State, Miyapur in particular.

They conveyed their resolve to approach the Central Government and the Central Bureau of Investigation on the irregularities. Mr. Naidu reportedly told the members to maintain a united front while taking up public causes.

The TDP president called on green crusader Vanajeevi Ramaiah, who had undergone treatment at a private hospital here.

TDP MLA R. Krishnaiah, also a part of the delegation that called on the party president, hailed the AP govt.’s decision to provide financial assistance to BC students for education abroad. He urged Mr. Naidu to consider an increase in the number of beneficiaries.
