Relay hunger strike enters sixth day

Indefinite relay-hunger strike launched by the District Congress Committee members demanding action against the police officials responsible for the brutal torture of dalits and others of Nerella village in Rajanna-Sircilla district entered the sixth day on Wednesday.

Former Minister D. Sridhar Babu participated in the relay hunger strike along with his supporters. Memmber of Legislative Council T. Santosh Kumar, TPCC SC Cell Chairman Arepalli Mohan and others participated in the strike. On this occasion, he launched a scathing attack against the TRS Government for increasing atrocities against the dalits, tribals, BCs and farming community.

Jagtial legislator T. Jeevan Reddy visited the camp in the evening and offered lemon juice to Sridhar Babu. The Congress leaders reiterated that they would continue their agitation till the Government takes action against the police officials responsible and involved in the brutal torture of villagers belonging to Nerella.
